Sierra Leone Diamond Mines: Koidu-Sefadu

Sierra Leone's Kono District diamond mining town of Koidu-Sefadu, where artisanal mining takes place in the mud/gravel alluvium pits that surround the town to the north, south and west. Koidu-Sefadu's "diamond-diggers" are mostly freelance workers who are paid a subsistence wage.
