Atelier Munsteiner: Gem Cutting & Polishing






Cutting & Polishing Rough Stone

This is a series of photographs of renowned gem cutters Bernd and Tom Munsteiner preparing, and working with a rough block of transparent quartz crystal, and large block of rutilated quartz in their studio at Pforzheim, Germany, in 2004.

These photos (and many more) can bee seen in the fantastic book Reflexionen in Stein (Reflections in Stone) by Christianne Weber, which chronicles this amazing family's legendary careers.
