This section showcases some of the world's premiere Swiss watch-makers in the field of modern lady's and men's contemporary complicated watchmaking and wristwatch design. Luminaries in the field include Blancpain, Corum, Girard Perregaux, Patek Philippe, Chanel, Ulysse Nardin and a host of others.
Many of the 'grand complications" created by these designers feature tourbillon movement, minute repeater, double chronograph or split chronograph, perpetual calendar, retrograde date hand, and sapphire crystal caseback with exposed movement.

The Corum watch company of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland was founded in 1955. Famous for their elegant exposed complications such as the extraordinary $150,000 "Golden Bridge Panoramique Tourbillon" (photo, left), Corum has a complete line of contemporary wristwatches starting at around $1,000.

Jaeger-LeCoultre was founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre in Geneva, Switzerland. LeCoultre was the first to measure the micron (1millionth of a metre), and in 1903 Jaeger-LeCoultre manufactured the world's thinnest pocket watch movement. Jaeger-LeCoultre is famous for its ultra-thin caliber movements, and Reverso Duo watches (photo, left).

Patek Philippe was founded in 1839 by Antoni Patek and French watchmaker Adrien Philippe, in Geneva, Switzerland. Patek Philippe claims the title for manufacturing the most complicated watch, the "Calibre 89," with 33 complications utilizing a total of 1728 individual parts.
